River Taw Farms

River Taw Farms grass fed cattle farm is located on the border of Cleveland and Gaston Counties, nestled in the rolling piedmont of the southwestern portion of North Carolina and situated in the foothills of the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains.  We have over 1,500 acres of pasture, trees and natural water.

Our goal at River Taw isn’t just selling great tasting grassfed beef. We want to spread the word about the beautiful area we live in, our kind neighbors, and the traditional and sustainable methods of farming we use, in order to further the movement toward healthier eating and sustainable living for all Americans.  River Taw Farms is built on the belief that people should know exactly what we do to produce our natural, grassfed beef, so that our customers can feel secure that our animals are treated humanely, without using hormones or antibiotics, pesticides or herbicides

River Taw Grassfed Black Angus beef is dry aged 14 days and vacuum packed, then frozen at the processing facility.  Our beef is delivered to the farm by our processor three days after packaging.  In addition to the Denver Farmers Market, our sales are through our farm store; online , email, and phone orders are for PICK UP ONLY.  The farm store is open to the public Wednesday & Thursday, 9 am until 5 pm.  Pick up during other weekdays and Saturdays by appointment only.  Our beef keeps for up to a year frozen, and thawing and cooking instructions and a few of our favorite grassfed beef recipes will be included with your order. Large or special orders may take up to four weeks to complete.

River Taw Grassfed beef is sold in three ways; By the “Virtual Side”, in 15- 40 pound grassfed beef boxes, and by the individual cut.  We do our best to keep all cuts in stock, but we are not able to guarantee availability.
