Loyd Lewis brought the first cantaloupes to Lincolnton this week!  We’ve been missing melons!  It officially feels like July now.  Peaches are very plentiful, and the okra have arrived as well!

So sorry to learn that Lineberger’s farm was hit by hail and their peach crop lost.  They have been faithful vendors at Denver for many years.  But want not — many other vendors have yellow and white freestone peaches available right now.  If you want to pick your own, check Foothills Fresh for orchards in a seven county area.

Good news on the local meat front.  Cabarrus County will now have the Cruse Meat Harvest Facility providing meat processing for a ten county area.
