The North Carolina Division of Aging has identified five service categories where funding can be used to help caregivers.
Information about Services
Access to Services: Call Senior Services at (704) 736-8410 or come by the office to ask for information about department programs or other resources in our community.
Caregiver Counseling/Support Groups/Training: Educational and informative programs provided and monthly support group meetings available.
Respite: This is the most requested service of the Caregiver Support Program. Senior Services contracts with several Home Care Agencies who will send an aide into the home to give a temporary break to the Caregiver. The nature of this service can be intermittent, occasional, or sometimes arranged on an emergency basis.
